Shower Door Tips
Shower Door Function and Movement
Q. How should a shower door be installed to ensure proper movement and function?
A. A shower door should move easily when opening and closing and should perform its proper function. The shower door should be installed as to not impede that proper movement and to eliminate any open seams between the door and the wall. There are certain items within a shower stall that can interfere with proper door function such as any type of overhang including overhanging tiles, decorative or raised tile, granite or marble slabs used as a shower seat or a buttress wall. Keep in mind that most of these can be made to accommodate your shower design, but at times a filler may need to be used. This might change the look of the end product.
