Create Your Business Brand

Find out where your audience is and utilize that platform.  If your product is windows and those who buy windows aren’t using twitter, don’t spend a lot of time there.  Find the arena where you can build your brand.  Another important thing to mention is that even if windows is your product you can eventually do a piece on social media and still get what you are selling out to potential customers.

Get Traffic to Your Website

You are not going to sell your products and services without getting people to your website.  Content and links are what drives people to your website the more content and links you have the more of a presence you will develop.  Thus, more people  will see you and go to your website.

Keep Your Reputation Intact

The internet allows anyone to post their complaints or positive experiences online.  It is important to note that negative comments can do a lot of damage to a business’s reputation.  It is important to step up your customer service and respond quickly and sensibly to criticisms.

Create a Comfortable Atmosphere with Your Audience

Social media shouldn’t always be used to push business.  Take time to have fun interactions with potential clients.

At the End of the Day

Regularly take a look at your social media influence and following.  Determine what is working and what is not and change your strategy accordingly.

Schedule your social media week

Spend time planning a simple schedule of posts each week.  This will allow your audience to follow you and what you are talking about more easily.

Understand Financial Limits

Social media is a great “free” platform to market your business.  Nonetheless, there are lots of opportunities within social media to buy ads or pay for marketing.  Know your budget and stick with it.
